In my current game, i have 7 star coaches for all training schedules yet the attributes (except physical) for my young players do not improve. These players include lulinha and torje so they should be improving but they are not, i think there attributes are the same since i bought them which 2 or 3 seasons (and yes i have been playing them). I find this strange since i have seen improvement in previous games. I started with Nottm forest so managed to get mostly regen coaches with the right stats to make them 7 stars but most of their other stats are poor. Does anyone reckon this could be the problem? or are stars the be all and end all?
Your training facilities are also a factor. Also, I think the stars are somewhat misleading; just because they give 7 stars for their schedule, their motivation or working with youngsters attributes might be really low, so it still won't work quite as well. Then again, it may simply be because the players' PA isn't very high (I'll confess to not actually knowing who Lulinha is).

After the patch 8.0.1 was released (and ofc installed), the players are not improving as fast as they did without the patch. Lulinha could be a world class player within 1-2 years, but now you have to be patient. He will be a great player, but it will take time.
Youngsters need to pay a lot more first team games to improve then in FM2007. Just playing them in a few league cup matches doesn't seem good enough anymore give them 10-20 league appearences a season as well once they are 18-19 years old. It still takes them until they are about 22-23 years old to improve massively, which is more realistic if a major pain compared to FM2007 where I had a team of trained up 19-20 wonderkids playing every week in the EPL.
The problem is that its not that the attributes are improving slow, they are not improving at all. I am now 3 and 1/2 seasons in to my game, i have had torje for the full 3 and 1/2 had lulinha for 2 and 1/2, yet there attrivutes (except physical) have not improved whatsoever. Lulinha is now 20 and his attrubtes are still rather poor, considering he is meant to become a world class player, he should have good attirbutes by the age of 20.

Because they were improving too quickly in the release version. </BLOCKQUOTE>
..than again it would nice to see some players improve, wouldn't it?
...and yes there are plenty of pages in the bugs forum about this. Only problem being that developers really don't seem to give a damn. Which by itself doesn't suprise at all.
