Hi im new to this forum so i apologise if these ideas have already been posted but ive got a few ideas i think could help the game
1. Position specific teamtalks ie, Defensive players- keep it tight we cant afford to concede again. or for attacking players- we need a goal. express yourselves more etc etc
2. Generally wider range of teamtalks
3. League specific teamtalks, if your just below the qualification polaces for example you should have the option of saying something like, a win here will put us in a qualification spot etc
4.If like me you enjoy bringing youngsters through explain to your board that the upcoming season could be a transitional period. Therefore there expectations will be lowered by a few league places and a round or 2 in the cup
5.Following on from the last idea, once a player hits 30-32ish you should be able to explain to him he may not play as much as you would like to start giving a younger player some more games. Prehaps you could explain he'll be saved for the big matches that way he wont be as upset when left out for periods of time
6. Once a player hits 30-32ish you can automatically offer him a player/coach role, because ive found even though a player says hell definatly stay in the game you cant offer him a coaches role
All except the last one would be additions I'd like to see. Teamtalks are something I'd like to see a big improvement on, and all of your suggestions seem sensible and well worthy of being in the game, imo.
As for point 5, I think some players should still be upset, and possibly request a transfer to a team that can offer him guaranteed first team football every week, depending on their temperament. But I'm all for betting communication in the game.
Point 6 is an area I'd also like to see improved, but don't think you should be able to automatically offer these roles. Perhaps encouraging them more to get coaching badges or something would be a better idea, imo, rather than the current way of simply saying you think they'd make a good coach. For one thing, how are we supposed to know whether they'd make a good coach or not, and for another thing, it feels somewhat pointless; I honestly don't really know how this affects the game at all.
