I bough him for 5m from Liverpool and hes now the bestest defender rin my Newcastle side and also ive recetly turned down a 28m offer from italian giants Roma
a true star, i bought him for 3m and hes played so consistantly in a central midfielder role and after 5 years of constantly playing him hes value has increase a lot!
bought him from Liverpool (exacly the same time as i bought Kocsis) for a fee of 5m also and hes playing just as good as Kocsis...im indeed very proud of this signing as its a bonus signing haha
3. Marcelo Salas - from Universidad de Chile to Panathinaikos for free, on FM07.
Scored a hatful of goals in his three seasons with us. I wasn't sure if he'd amount to anything more than back-up, but he ended up as my main striker, despite his advancing years. Fired us to a UEFA Cup win. Legend.
2. Steve Marlet from free transfer to Barnsley, on FM08.
A short-lived save it might have been, but Marlet's incredible goal return helped me to win the Championship with unfancied Barnsley before I quit that game.
1. Fernando Genro from Auxerre to Manchester United for £11 million, on FM06
He'd only been at Auxerre for six months when I signed him. He was just a youngster, and he gradually came to replace the ageing Ruud van Nistelrooy. If anything, his goals to games ratio was even better than the Dutchman's. And considering he was 21 when he signed and played until age 33, I think I got more than my money's worth.
