I set it so my assistant manager handles all contract renewals.

But a lot of times, he lengthen the contract of worthless players. I know this because after an unknown player in my reserve team extended his contract, I check him out and he told me to offload the player in the near future. If he thinks so then why did he extend the contract!!!

Also, somehow my club sign youth players without my permission... the thing is these players are really bad!

How can I stop my assistant manager from making stupid contract decisions?

There's a very simple, and very obvious answer to that - do it yourself.

In your Manager Options (That's click 'Manager' > 'Manager Options') You'll find the 'Team Settings' link.

Here you can choose to click or unclick whether you want your assman to control contract renewals!

If you set their statuses to 'Not needed' your AM doesn't give them new contracts. This of course affects those players' morale, but hey, who cares?

i found that i used to dump players in the resrves simply because they were carp and i started to notice these poo players were getting contracts renewed simply becase my ass man was handleing the contracts i have it set to my youth players now so i at least have some spare players in case of injuries.

Never let your AM do this. I like to have full control of which players are at my club at all times.
