Default Should I go for it again?

I last played FM about 1 week ago, the game was frustrating me because of the good ole' shots/goals ratio thingy mer bob...

I'm debating whether to start a new game or wait in hope that the above is tinkered with in a patch, Is this something that will be looked at when(if) a patch is produced?

What shall I do, start a new game or bide my time?

Start a new game and just accept that its going to happen until the new patch. Play with less extreme tactics i.e. the pre set ones with a little tweeking, it won't happen as often then.

As long as your still winning don't let it ruin the game for you!

It's your life, how are we supposed to tell you what to do?!

Personally I have a long running FM07 save that I am still very attached to so when I lose my rag with my FM08 game I just return to that for a while.

Nice one guys, although glamdring, I wasn't asking for you to tell me what to do, It was more of a patch related question, with a bit of "help me with my confidence" built in.

I'm sad and I am happy to admit it

It should be sorted. Hopefully they just change it so that you cant create as many chances. Just start a new game when the patch comes out. Updated data included too.

I know how you feel though, I bought the game pretty much as soon as it came out and have had more false starts than I can remember before giving up on a particular savegame because I just couldn't get into it. I have finally played a full season in the Blue Square North which was sufficiently interesting/challenging/rewarding to keep me playing inspite of me having plenty of times when I got infuriated with it.

The shots/goal ratio is less noticeable I guess at that level though because it is no surprise to me when a Blue Square North level of striker fails to beat the 'keeper with a shot - it's what I expect. Said striker scoring a goal is a novelty and always a welcome surprise :p

That's quite true actually, I also don't have as much of an issue in the lower leagues if I lose and my keeper has conceded 3/3 shots etc.. I just put it down to him being a bit rubbish.

I'm glad it's not just me that has to start a new game about 10 times before I get into one, randomly flinging myself from country to country until I get the right "feeling" for a team or league! I keep wanting to try one of the more obscure leagues like china or Japan, but the lure of potential champions league money gets me everytime!!!
