Default Enjoy leisure time, enjoy footy management sims - enjoy life!

For now I have put FM08 to one side and am back playing CM01-02. I still believe 08 to be the best most playable FM game but work is a bit stressful right now, and other things going on in my life mean I need relaxation - not stress, which FM induces.

I realised at the weekend that I am punching my desk & breaking mouse(s) nowadays whereas I used to sit smiling occaiasionally jumping up and punching the air in the CM 01-02 days. This isnt linked to how easy or hard i find the games, it is how frustration or not that I find my gameplaying.

I know CM 01-02 will seem shallow & slightly less absorbing than FM08 but I really believe I will smile more.

FM08, im not leaving you - I still love you, but a need a less demanding mistress at the moment.

...if SI produced a comprehenisve & reliable manual / tactical guide, this may all have been unnecessary*.

*NB. I dont really want to read 60,000 Posts, especially as they are all opinions, and often contradictory, though I appreciate the efforts of every seroius Poster.

:p

Oh i'm with ya on that one, sat last night with 5 games to go and needing 2 wins out of 5 to take my first Serie A title I suddenly realised that I was actually worried and stressed about the situation lol.

Gone are the days of taking Bolton to European glory and not giving a hoot.

Can I sue SI if I go grey.

Yes but when it goes right!!

I also find FM has a more than healthy effect on my moods (and I don't just mean when I'm playing) and may give your cm0102 suggestion consideration, however last night I compleated one of my greatest ever CM/FM comebacks and I was walking on air this morning.

the whole world seems a brighter place knowing it's not going to be a trophyless season!!!

Was up last night trying to work out a decent tactic for my Farsley Celtic side, when all of a sudden I noticed it was well past midnight. Wound up taking a vacation day today. :o

Still, it's never occurred to me to go back to an older version (although I do remember 01/02 fondly). I guess I just get addicted too quickly to the new features.

CM01/02 can still bring a smile to my face, and I still enjoy FM'05, too.
