Firstly I know this is in the wrong place, I have two articles in the graphics and skin forum regarding this and seeing as I've been trying to sort this for three days I thought I'd give it a go here. I am have never loaded a skin, logo pictures etc so had no idea where to begin. I've cut and paste the downloaded rar file to the correct SI folder, I created a graphics file, then backgrounds file and pasted it there. When I go to preferences in the game I tick and untick everything I should, there is a pause and it says uploading new skin, or something along those lines, but when I go into the game it doesn't work. On the pref screen should I see the file name that I want to use? Again, I know this is in the wrong place but the skin/graphics but it is awful quiet over there, please don't bite my head off, I just want to get this sorted! Many Thanks.

ok you don't cut and paste the rar file itself to the designated folders, if that was what you mean.

you need to extract the rar file to the folders.

Yeah don't copy and paste the rar file you have to extract it's contents and then transfer them into the "graphics" folder, you may need to create a graphics folder though.

I've created the graphic folder, I have the IT skills on a new born chimp so how do I extract the rar file? Thanks for the replies. :thup:

well you just double click on the rar file.

then you click the extract icon on top.

choose the desired folder you wanna to place it.

click ok, or extract.

there ye go.

So will I need to download any kind of programme that does this or will it be as simple as double clicking on the rar fil and extracting it?

yeah google winrar and download the program. you need the program to make it work.

cool. As I said, I'm a real dunce at these things so when I download the winrar program will it just automatically be on my computer or do I have to do something to make it run when I'm trying to extract the rar file?

if i'm not wrong, you download it and install it and it will be in your pc. thereafter double click on your file to extract. it should work fine.
