how do you all tend to start a new game, as i dont believe im using the games full facilities?

Set up my training schedule
Set all players on "pre-season" if applicable
Set up my tactic(s)
Go through each player on the team and read a coach report about him
From that, figure out who belongs in the first XI, second XI, Reserves, U-18s .. whom I want to sell and which position(s) I need to strengthen
Transfer list the "sell" players.
Send each of my scouts out on a mission
Post advertisements for new staff
Review my fixtures list - may adjust pre-season friendly schedule

Finally, click "Continue"

I usually scout for players for basically all of the pre-season. Also i focus on friendlies alot to find out about good tactics to use. I also make new training schedules. Pre-season is quite an important time for me

I start in the Conference North/South, so usually my first week (I mean week in real life) is spent going through thousands of free transfers.

I do the same. I cant be bothered to create new training scheduals or tactics. I may do the odd thing, but very rarely, i just download other peoples tactics
