They're normaly well explained in the 'read me' of the packs you download.

If not using 'Window Explorer' check on your drive for 'Program Files' from there open 'Program Files' then in turn:
Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\data\skins in this folder stick your skins.
Now back up one stage to \data before opening \graphics\pictures\players your then met with different Country folders for you to paste the relevant pictures.

Its a doddle when you get started :thup:
