Good work fella, was just thinking about using SWAP_TEAM to do this myself (i'd have kept nations seperate though) but anyway, cheers, you've save me a heap of work. I'll give it a go and see what its like.

Started a game, playing as Aberdeen who are in League 1 (like someone said, Scottish teams are in too low a league, but it will iron itself out after a few seasons).

One thing though - what's with all these players having Scotland NGXI as their nationality? Means they can't possibly play for GB.

How easy is it to change nationalities of players? Its not a one-at-a-time job is it?

I only changed the main sqaud of each team. Have you tried changing thousands of players nationality... and don't say "macromaker" lol, as many players have gb nations as second or even have 2 gb nations in game.

If i wanted to re-instate each nation how would i go about it? When you changed nationalities of players, which editor did you use to do it?

And what about the national sides? Is it just a case of changing the descriptions back (ie drop the NGXI) and re-instate the reputation? I had a look at Scotland NGXI squad, and all the players were greyed-out - why doesn't it pick real players with NGXI nationality?

They are greyed out because they are not "real" nations any more. The people with scotland NGXI nation are just those who wern't in the main sqaud and therefore havn't been changed. They should be classed as british but have you tried changing something like this, lol.

Haven't tried, but you've given me the inspiration to do so :thup: I'm going to take the 200 teams from English Leagues, Conferences, and Scottish Leagues and re-arrange them into two British League systems. Main one will be in the existing English League, other will be in the Scottish League.

Difference from what you've done Steven is that I'll leave the nations as they are.

Any advice for me as I do this? Did you use SWAP_TEAMS command to move the sides about? I'm planning on tracking by moving about on Excel spreadsheet each time i add a new SWAP_TEAM to my edt file, unless there's a better way?

Other question was - do you only need to use the RETAIN_PLAYERS command if your switching nation of club? e.g. if i just move Sunderland down a division i wouldn't need to use it, would I?

Ok i have a problem, most likely of my own making.

I decided to rename Great Britain to United Kingdom in the editor...but now when i start a game neither the Great Britain or UK leagues appear.

Any idea what i've done wrong, or not done that i should have?

Did you rename it in my db or the normal db?

p.s. if if my editor, the nation name is in fake.inc

If in normal db, then gb is not a playable nation, I simply edited england to be it.

It was your db i edited. United Kingdom still comes up in the "retain players from nation" list too.

And the fake.inc file...mine appears to be black when i open it. Is this normal? Is that the problem?
