I want to cripple the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea, Liverpool and so on financially and everytime people tell me to set their finances to 0 and this never works.

So how can I realistically cripple these clubs and stop them from signing ANY PLAYERS.

Maybe you should have their finances in the minus.

I can't really work out how to cripple them in the editor as big clubs always seem to make money in a hurry.

To cripple them with the Mind Compression thing, set the wages to about 100000, the finances to -25m, then everytime they "make arrangements with their creditors", chop it down to -25m again. Only takes a couple of months to bankrupt them and with the low wage they can't sign anyone anyway.

If you want to ensure they don't recover easily from their bankruptcy or don't mind them having long-term issues (if only using editor), reduce the stadium capacity to 1000ish, and the maximum attendance to about 50. Without gate reciepts it's very hard to make money

I like the randomness that comes from ensuring Man U, Arse, Chels and Liverpool aren't factors in the game, so good luck with it.

Maybe you can set their reputations as 1 so they can't buy anyone, not sure if that will work though

Making all there own players disliked personel of the club and visa-versa could be fun.

Also in the editor give players big contracts with huge lengths and lots of bonuses

And finally arrange future transfers in the editor for silly money

Clubs cannot be crippled completely in-game. You have to remove them from the database using the editor. If you set them to major debt, they'll just bring in a new board and write off their debts.

Not if you put someone on a long-term £200,000,000 a week playing contract they won't. That's too much for them, watch their finances plummet.

Do that, *then* set the club reputation to rubbish, and they'll soon disappear.

You can give them a couple of really huge loans with the editor or an edt file. Works better than just setting their finances to 0.
