In the Championship using T1:

Carshalton 1-0 Sunderland (They are 3rd)
Millwall 3-2 Carshalton (They are 19th)
Carshalton 2-2 Charlton (They are 4th)
Carshalton 1-2 Doncaster (They are 17th)

So for some reason I handle the top dogs decently, but cant stop the bad ones. I didnt get a chance to try any more games but I thought I would let you know what I found nontheless. My opponent seems to get at least 2 or 3 times as many shots off than I do :[

deadledevices maybe if you try T4 against the better teams because it is more defensive, than the others.

I have been looking in detail at the tactic mainly T1, and i have found that is basically 7 players defending and 7 attacking, with all my tweaking it is now starting to work alright in the prem, and the results are coming along nicely, but i have found that it takes teams time to get used to, but i am finding i get more posession but not so many shots, which im trying to change


so the WIP T1,2,3, is still very much WIP, and more testers are still needed

I must say, by looking at the screenies.. your tactics seems look 'advanced' and 'difficult'. I would be interesting to see how it goes if i use this tactic with my wolves team.

Anyway, i'll give a shot at your tactics later at home and report back.

Interesting thread, i'm muling over a similar ploy at the moment with 1 striker, and 3 players in behind...However, the lack of consistency is bothering me!

Type 2 & 3 really look appealing to me. Seems like you've covered the areas pretty good. Cesc running to DC... i like that!
The FBs/WBs seem kind of handy, do they get a lot of crosses/assists ?

Type 1 looks a bit too narrow for me. If the other team plays wide, don't you get caught at the back ?

Type 4 just looks too complex for my liking. Then again it seems to have covered most areas. Don't the other teams try to get their strikers in behind your DCs who are running upwards ?

When my tactics starts failing, i might try one of these tactics. Preferably 2 or 3.

I agree, and this is the main part im trying to tweak, im working on a T5, which i hope should eradicate the inconstitency, so watch this space for hopefully a complete tactic


Cesc is one of the, if not the main person in the tactic, he can act as a playmaking DM playing balls across, the field and he also drops and acts as another defender. The WB's do get alot of assists as they pass the ball either direct or run and cross, i think they make the mose behind Anderson in the CM. So they are vital

With T1, it works brilliantly in the CL, as you can see my Ajax result. It does allow the best attacking team to get behind the defence, but aslong as you have at least 2 fast DC, it should be alright, or that's what i've found at least.

Type 4 is as of now untested as i just played around a bit, so im not too sure what it's like, but i will be looking into it.

I´m using the T3 in my save with Flamengo (Brasil), and this tactic is very good I think....
Very attack, and conceed just a few goals....
Can´t wait for T5, to have more options....
