It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

two different types of adverse weather:

1. wet
2. windy

in wet conditions it's better to play more direct passing. one reason for this is that the ball is held up by the wet surface so long balls that would usually go out may stay in for wingers/strikers to capitalise on.

in windy conditions it's better to play shorter passing so that the wind doesn't move the ball away from the intended target as much.

i made tactics for wet matches in my tactics set as i find that changing them in this situation really benefits you if you've increased passing by 2/3 notches.

With regards to the "wet" games.

It is only when the pitch looks darker and patchy in the 2D engine that you need to class it as wet, even if it says wet on the overview.

I have seen "Gale" in the overview as a weather before. Played long ball and watched everyone scramble after it as it never hit target. Kept me happy for a few minutes.

Does anyone else slow their tempo down during hot (>30 degrees) conditions to prevent player's condition falling off dramatically at the end of the game? Playing in Czech Republic, where the season goes through June, this seems to have helped me pick up a few key wins during the closing weeks of the championship.

Never thought of doing that, next time I see a hot game I will keep an eye on the players condition. I play in England so it might take a while.

I never had the need to adjust to heat in all my many seasons in England, but in the southern European and eastern European leagues (which play further into the summer) it does happen frequently enough.

i play a slow tempo anyway so players are never tired at the end of games that much.

meant to say that too. bit unrealistic IMO that it's like that unless it's an absolute deluge.

IRL if the pitch is wet then a quicker passing game would work better, as opposed to a more 'hoof' like system.
