Everytime i ever play FM i have two teams that kick my ass, newcastle and arsenal. Arsenal for obvious reasons and newcastle because of owen.

In my current save I am about to play arsenal and am on a five match run without conceding a goal. Its all gonna go wrong now!

I'm away from home so a draw is okay for me. What should i do to achieve this?

on the opposition bit in the tactics screen, set it so you dont close down their fastest striker (ie Owen, Henry)

thats what i did with Fulham when i beat Arsenal in the champions League final

Bad luck, Arsenal is the most unrealistic thing in this game... Just take a look at Wenger stats... They change tactics (minor changes but effective if you have man marking settings) about 100 times during the game. the only chance is to have a team 20 times better than Arsenal, there you may have a chance of drawing the game away...

Arsenal is my bogel team too...
They got Henry,Saviola,Adebayor,Fabregas,Rodriguez..even crazy than my Chelsea team...
but i oni can beat him away from home..coz my tactic too offensive..counter attack first..
but possesion oni get about 40-45%..stupid formation..haha

I drew Arsenal in the carling cup 3rd round with Swindon at the emirates (first season).
Went 3-0 down in 10 minutes, playing 4-4-2 with high wingers....changed the team instructions to use more strength and longer balls, with a target man to run on to them behind the defence.
Second half came back to 3-3 until the 89th minute when rosicky scored an offside goal.
4-3 final score.....so close

Arsenal is the ONLY team I change my formation for. I switch to a traditional 442 and man mark Fabregas. I play my MC with the highest Marking and other defensive attributes (even if this player is not first choice). I play deeper defensive line with DCs on barrows.
This is effective. The only times Arsenal has beaten me is when they have switched to 4-3-3 with Henry at AML and he has deystroyed me from the wing. 'Fraid I can't help you with that one!

my spurs side beat arsenal 7-1 away from home to seal european qualification last season. i had 4 players rated 10 for that game!
