If i have loads of players with flair ect and i put them on max creative freedom, i presume AI could not adapt to this tactic because they wouldn't know where my players will be.

This is just an idea (probably wrong). Does anybody have any views?

You wouldn't have a tactic if you had all players set to max cf. Its advised you have no more than 3 players wil high CF.

your idea sounds good in theory but in practice you would have your whole team doing what they want not what you want them to do

maybe try to use "switch positions" on every player. So switch midfielders, fullbacks, wingers etc. You need to have versatile players for it (AM RL for example)
Or switch DM with DC, AM with FC etc...?

surely having CF at max is a tactic what your saying is i won't have a formation

A tactic isnt just where the players are. its what they are told to do to try and beat the opposition. if their CF is on max it gives them complete dicesion on what to do and therefore no organisation meaning no tactic

Indeed, the formation is the shape.

And having many players with high CF would destroy shape. It also would prevent any kind of cohesive play, which will likely hurt you more than the AI would.

I would just tell whoever you have set as playmaker(s) to have a fair bit of creative freedom. That's it really.
