Hi I'm looking for another thread and I haven't been able to find it. It was a thread about what stats your coach should have to give 5 stars in certain traing department, such as ball control, attacking, strength and so on.

Does anybody have a link for that thread?

Like everybody else, i want the best for my team, and that includes 5 star coaches. After a bit a personal research into Coaches and FM I have found out the following. Some of this you may already know or think is obvious but I thought I would post it to inform and so it could be debated.

Star Rating System

As I'm sure you knew, a coaches star rating is based on his attributes in the given area. This can be applied to most of the areas, apart from Set Pieces, as this area is made up of more than one attribute.

5 Star = 18+
4 Star = 15+
3 Star = 10+
2 Star = 6 +
1 Star = 5-

Strength; Fitness.
Aerobics; Fitness.
Goalkeeping; Coaching Goalkeepers.
Tactics; Tactics.
Ball Control; Technical.
Defending; Defending.
Attacking; Attacking.
Shooting; Technical, Attacking.
Set Pieces*; Technical, Attacking, Mental.

*The most important attribute is first.

Technique = 20 & Mental + Attacking >= 30

For categories with two stats primary stat weighes 4 time more than the secondary stat
For set pieces primary stat weighes 3 time more than secondary and tertiary stats"

I have tried using the editor to get perfect coaches for each area & havn't succeeded yet, some reach 5-stars when i load up, some don't, i try again, the ones that were earlier now aren't & the ones that weren't now are. It's a real pain but Macabre's post did help after i tried it the simpler way (just putting the obvious ones to 20). I found his post worked for Set Pieces, Ball Control & Technique although sokmetimes it worked in-game sometimes not. I've found that the most reliable way to create perfect coaches is to use the Memory Editor from fmunderground. Perfect Coaches every time!

sorry jimi666 i posted this without fully reading your post, now i see your method is more complicated than i first thought. so complicated i don't understand it but then again i didn't really understand Macabres either. Thank God for the Memory Editor!
