Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Question about defending

How do you cut out long cross field passes to opposition wingers?

When you close them down they also seem to always go past you as well... they are the reason i've been conceding quite a bucketful of goals lately.

It seems that a good and fairly common way of sorting this out is to place barrows on your full-backs (backward arrows); that means they're more likely to stay back in position to soak up those pesky diagonal balls.

Cut out forward runs on the full-backs too, so that they only focus on defending.
