I've played using many teams with the same training schedules. But whenever I used it with Boro, it seems that I will always get players injured , and the worst case was 9 1st team players got injured for 2-3 weeks. So anyone could help?

I recently played 3 seasons as Boro.
In my 1st season I was taken over by Jerome Lambert and given a £40M transfer budget for the next 3 seasons.

In my 3rd season I won the UEFA Cup and finished 2nd in the Prem

I'm in the 2010/2011 season now. I've only won one trophy, the league cup in 2009/2010, but I did make the FA Cup final in 2007/2008 but lost to Chelsea in Extra Time. I'm currently in the Quater Finals of the UEFA Cup and 4th in the League.

My First Team:
Akinfeev
Kooiman - Huth - Woodgate/Paneson - Di Napoli
Wright-Phillips - Grella - Saez - Downing
Owen - Galbrath

I sold my first team Right Back Junior as he was unhappy and wanted to move for about 2 seasons and I got sick of rejecting offers and to be honest his performances were getting worse as he didn't want to be at boro anymore. Kooiman was a left back signed to replace Arca, but Di Napoli has made that role his own this season while Kooiman's been injured and the Right Back signed to replace Junior hasn't been good enough so i've gave Kooiman a run as a makeshift right back and he's been great. My big problem has always been scoring goals but signing Galbrath and Owen seems to have solved that. We're in March now and we're still on course for a Champions League place .

Anyone still playing as Middlesbrough?

Im into season 2026/27 and Boro have become a dominant force in the premiership and in regulars in the champions league.

One thing i have found that i cannot for the life of me get my stadium expanded by more than 3 thousand seats any season. Not that its holding me back like, 500m in the bank largest transfer in is 90m and out is 30m +50% future fee.

Got downing as my Assistant now

I thought i'd start a new game with boro, as i am looking forward to the new season.

Boro are an excellent team to be if you need a reasonable challenge on FM.

This was in our local paper last week,

"THE best production line in the country. That’s the Boro Academy, which has come top of the tree in a recent survey.

The statistics show that Boro’s first-team squad currently includes 15 players who have come through the ranks.

That’s higher than any other Premiership club, and shows how much emphasis Boro have placed on producing their own talent.....

These Boro Academy boys made it through to the England set-up. Left to right in this picture taken last year are: back, Tony McMahon, Stewart Downing, David Knight, Ross Turnbull, Jason Steele, Adam Johnson and Stuart Parnaby; front, Gary Liddle, Matthew Bates, Nathan Porritt, James Morrison, Danny Graham, Jonathan Franks, Andrew Davies, David Wheater, Lee Cattermole and Andrew Taylor"

That being said i think i am going to try to keep the emphasis on youth going, and promote as many players from the academy as i can!

Current team

Our current team is pretty strong on paper, but football isnt played on paper, so i will need to strengthen.

I want to play using this formation, hopefully play free flowing football. This is also how we have looked to have started in our pre-season games so far (Appart from Tuncay on the right)

First Purchases

I think that i will need a backup keeper as Schwarz wont last for ever. I will also need a right back (As i updated the DB before young signed) but i will give Tony McMahon every opportunity. Also our right side has been a problem for a number of years, so i will need a right winger (suggestions welcome).

Sales
I will look to get rid of any of our old players, so i can concentrate on building a young team, so i will look to offload the likes of Boateng, Arca (Playing well IRL but rubbish on the game), Mendi (Where is he IRL anyway?), Euell.

Lengthy post, but i will keep everyone (or if no one is interested myself) posted on my progress!

Plenty of options for a right midfielder if you have a little money to spend.

Mendi IRL is still at the Boro, Sociedad had a look at him in January but nothing came of it.

I am about a month into pre-season and so far it is going ok, i have beat the majority of sides in my friendlys appart from a 1-0 defeat against Nurnberg (they had 1 shot)

Transfers so far,
(I try not to buy the same people everytime, this is so i dont get the same wonderkids each time - weres the fun in that)

Charles-Andre Doudin - 300k
Kerrea Gilbert - 425k
Danny Rose - 180k
Omar Asparza - 1.1mil

I currently have 1.8mil left to spend, i really need to strenghten right wing.

So far i have only managed to sell Mendieta for 220k - 20k per week off my wage budget.

i am quite excited by the prospect of some of my young players,

Josh Walker,Jonathan Franks, Nathan Porritt, Graham Owens all have decent stats for there age.

I cant decide whether to try to train adam johnson to play on the right handside, or train stewy downing to play in the middle, just so i have alternative options if i fail to bring in any extra faces.
