Default September 2007 The Month That FM 2007 Really Does Wind You Up

I'm sure most of you have now been playing FM for a number of years now and in particular in the last year FM 2007. A huge problem that always creeps up in complaints is the unbareable amount of injuries your players recieve.

Don't get me wrong i am not trying to be a nag but a month from the release of FM 2008 i being to pray that this problem will be fixed.

Football Manager is renouned for its realistic features but the injuires really do spoil this extremely addictive game. Unlike in real life you can almost bank on it that at least 1 (usually 2) of your top quality players will pick up an injury per game! I know injuries in real life are frequent but, not on players in the same team, for months and months on end and in every single game you play.

I can almost guarantee the majority of the people on this forum experience the same problem and after 11 months of this i do indeed pray so hard that this terrible problem will be resolved in FM 2008. That is the one thing that will make FM 08 a next-gen game and more enjoyable!

October 26 is the latest but we all know what that means.

San Andreas is being delayed by 5 months so i wont be suprised if FM 08 is delayed aswell, if so lets hope something is at least done about this injuries thing

An injury crisis for me is extremely rare. I think since FM05 or FM06 people have constantly been complaining about too many injuries, yet it has never affected me. I generally have so few injuries in fact, that I would say there simply arent enough, but Im not gonna complain of course

I just finished the first season with Chelsea btw, and Arjen Robben played 59 matches, of which 37 in the league. Only at the end did het get an injury for a week or so. Although Robben usually does get injured more for me, it is very telling that this time he simple didnt.

Other then that, I just have very fit players and the best physios in the game. Only once in a big while do I have several players injured at the same time. Most of the time, there's simple noone injured.

i think fm08 will be released in november is it not pro evoultion being released oct.26.
san andreas is been delayed for 5 months as they are afraid that they will lose all the hype with the new halo game being released around same time

i hope fm 08 brings back the old training regimes,ie,piggy in the middle etc

Yeah i tend to get a bundle of injuries and usually right before big games as well. I have even tried resting my star players before big matches, But i still tend to get those damn injuries no matter what. But i suppose thats part and parcel of the game. These things do happen in real life i suppose at clubs all over the country.

I have a number of injuries and the players are out for months! Just lost Ratinho with a broken leg, Adu's been out for 8 months and still has another 3 left with cruciates, Danny Szetela has been out for 7 months so far, then Okaka picks up an injury every few weeks, i'm sure Okaka must be injury prone with how much he gets injured for me, so annoying!

1 or 2 injuris per game me ol son?... thats your training that is.....

bad worker always blames his tools and your blaming the game here... i never have a crisis like yours... of course you get the odd injury...

imo.. the game is very realistic.. just like irl if your having to many injuries... ease down the training... give the lads a break... pinpoint who in the team is naturally injury prone and consider selling them or using them sparingly
