I've just qualified for Euro 2008, and I want to know who you think would be ideal to be my fourth choice striker.
I havn't got the patch so Rooney is permantly suspended.
Three current strikers, and caps and goals under me:
Owen (obviously) I can't work out his stats under me but he scores a lot.
Bent 8 caps 7 goals
Beattie 3 caps 6 goals
I've tried Crouch, Defoe and Lita. Crouch was a good TM but hasn't scored (although he gets a lot of assists.) Defoe hasn't played well, but he's scored 2 goals. Lita hasn't really played, but has got a goal.
So, in your experince, who should be fourth choice?
Defoe?
Crouch?
Lita?
Johnson?
Ashton?
Smith?
Nugent?
Or even Sturridge?
Or someone else?
i would have andy johnson as he was absolutely class when i had a game with everton.scored 48 goals in about 50 games.that was playing as the left striker.
Walcott's too young, I'm not going to start him until he's playing every week for Arsenal.Still, if he's good enough I suppose he could be a squad player.
Beats is pure quality for me, he's actually got 6 in 3! 4 of them past Igor Akinfeev, one of the best goalies in the game!
Currently andy Johnson seems to be winning, I'll look at him, Heskey and Walcott.
Look at the Premiership top scorer list and choose the highest English scorer thats not already in the squad. Try Luke Moore who always seems to be outstanding in the EPL in the second season. Not sure about him internationally though.
