I've just recently started a Pompey game. Going quite well at the moment *touch wood*.

I have brought in around four players.

Curtis Davies -

Dave Nugent -

Tomas Sivok -

Liam Rosenior -

All are doing very well in my team. We are 9th in the league. Just entering the january market, don't think i'll be buying anyone as i don't want to go into the red zone lol. I'll keep you updated on big news and results

was our Marc Wilson ever on the books at Man Utd? I remember they had a Mark Wilson who went on to play for Boro and is now in the states, sure there hasnt been a mix-up?

Just started first season. Am 15th after 10 games. Benjani is on fire. Have fully embraced the Redknapp doctrine with six new signings, and have shipped about half a dozen juniors out on loan.

New men:
Bale, Southampton
Eastwood, Southend
Halford, Colchester
Dickson Choto, R/CB from Legia Warsaw
Pah-Modou Kah, DM from Roda JC
Thomas Vermaelen, L/CB from Ajax

I see the first three as investments, getting them in and training them up. Bale is probably the best-placed of the three to come in, but Halford is making good pogress on a regime to improve fitness and defending.
Choto has goodish tackling and marking but lacks pace and gets the hump on easily!
Kah came in when I thought Fernandes would be out for longer, and before I realised that Hughes looks as good as he does. Has good fitness and stamina and tackles/marks well.
Vermaelen looks promising - goodish heading, marking & tackling, and young. Has set up a couple of goals with good crosses from deep.

Sasha wasn't happy with the club's profile so I put in a hopeless bid for Fillipo Inzaghi and it cheered him up! Also offered Southapton a friendly as part of the Bale deal but the ungrateful so & so's weren't interested

Play up, Pompey!

Stu

Have to comment that the game is very realistic - Michael Brown got sent off in my 2-1 win at Craven Cottage for a sly kick at Pedro!

does anyone else get money problems with portsmouth? i was a few million in teh red towards the end of teh first season and the chairman had to pay off £5m to stop the club going bankrupt (or something like that). its not so bad now with the stadium expanded by 7000 though.

i did get worried at one point though as they said they were expanding the stadium and then i got a message saying it had been expanded. by 700 seats!!!!!!!! then it got a bigger expansion a bit later on which i was thankful for!

first season i finished 11th.
players in: halford, jo, eddie johnson, kosstandinov, skiklenbrand, curtis davies, michael ball.

2nd season also finished 11th.
players in (pre 2nd season): mascherano, reo coker, vanden borre.

mascherano was amazing and now my chariman has accepted a 20m bid for him (but the teams that bid that amount never seem to have the funds which is annoying).

just need to get a good centre back and i should be set for this season coming.
