Hello just looking for a bit of help!! Bassically I've signed 5 players however all of them need work permits so I have to loan them out to an affiliate??? How does this work? How long do they need to be gone before they get EU citizenship??Thanks

Depends on what country your affiliate is in. But the average is 3-5 years I think.

Once they spend a full season out on loan, offer them a new contract when they get back. If you're lucky, this time around they'll be granted a work permit. If not, send them on loan again and repeat this every 2-3 months from then on in. You generally get the WP approved before the required number of years if you're a big enough club.

In Spain for South Americans the time is 2years only to gain citizenship. In Italy 5 years. Belgium is 3 I think.

Not to highjack the thread, but what makes a player get/fail the initial wp application? I tried to sign Claudio Maldonado in the 2nd season and his wp was turned down. He's the Chile captain and has 43 caps, so I would have thought that it would be accepted. I thought it was 30+ for an automatic acceptance. Any help?
