The problem is that no matter what you do, your board will never expand your stadium. If you eventually reach EPL or even the Champ League, it's not that fun to play with a 7000 capacity stadium, with only a few thousand seats

I think you'll find it's been mentioned to death here

It nearly always happens the other way around. That German married poof usually beats me.

The players in the transfer screen are the most famous players in the game. This is, however, just a small part of all the players in the database. Use your scouts to find less reputable players - also try to loan some youngsters from top clubs

I send my scout out to find people & he comes back with everyone he classes as a 'decent' prospect which tends to be about 10 everytime I click continue, its ridiculous

No no, I meant in THIS thread :p

From reading his first post, I assumed he wanted replies here instead of searching through the forums

Well it would be nice if Scouting worked how it used to & only made the news items when the player he found was something special as opposed to 'decent'
hohum

Yeah but "decent" is only what your scout thinks of him. You are the manager. You are the guy who makes the final decision. Decent can mean anything from totally useless, to someone who could fill a hole in your LL club if you were short in that particular position.

I always review the players scout finds, regardless of how many stars he has given them. I remember in CM3 one player my scout passed over as being useless, was infact quite good in a LL sort of way. He had the right attributes for the position I was seeking and I signed him up. The player in question played well for me, and was a starter each time until I got promoted. He then wasn't up to stratch and I flogged him off to another LL club.

Trust no one my friend, trust no one.

Taipan's series of quotes continue. This one is a bit harder. Which 12(?) part TV series was that above quote from?
