With regard to famous internationals...
Would famous former greats that are well known to still be playing be considered the same, such as a certain geordie, or perhaps the ponytailed moustache between the sticks (although he'd be unlikely to take the drop)?
After all, no-one can claim a manager wouldn't know about them without his scouts...
