The Random players option doesn't interest me to much. As Merk said, all the different clubs i may get through, it would not really be needed for me.

Didn't Ian have a go with the Random option in CM4 and found that there was a 16yr old Japanese lad at Elgin City |

I found it awful in CM3. Especially when 7 of my squad had "Dont think they are cut out for professional football" in their profiles |

Gretna - All Scots and Pooflanders
Montrose - 17y/o Colombian
Morton - 14y/o Colombian, Argentinian, Canadian, 2x15y/o and 18y/o Aussies
Peterhead - Bulgarian, 17y/o South African, Senegalese
Queens Park - 16y/o Nigerian, 14y/o Turk
Stirling Albion - Brazilian
So, all in all, 15 Work Permits in Division 3 including 8 teenagers.
I believe there's a limit on the number of Work Permits allowed in Scotland and I seem to remember it's less than 10 for the entire League structure.

I've only ever tried it in the top leagues before I found the way of LLM. It was good stuff. I never got too many inconsistencies as the others did.

I am talking about CM3 here, of course.

I never liked the random option, mainly for one reason:
it seemed to me that the amount of different names was MUCH lower with random generated names as it was "normally". Mainly the African players all had kinda the same names... I would have enjoyed it more if the random generator would just mix up the existing names instead of making "new" ones out of a name list.

I would love to play with the random option if it would work right. No matter which team I start with, once I send my scouts off and they report back players I've scouted or signed before I get that deja vu feeling.
I would lie if I said I never signed a player even with a little bit of prior knowledge involved, i.e. if a scout recommends someone that was great for me before as a "decent signing" I'm more likely to sign him than some other bloke I never heard of before who comes with the same recommendation. Recently I've taken care not to sign the fellow just to have a fresh game but that's somewhat crippling too.
I guess a true llama's conscience is pure and I'm getting there, just wondering if maybe a random game would be a helping prosthesis.

Sometimes, it really kills by disrupting the team balance. More often than not, teams end up with no strikers but a truckful of Left-mids.
