Aah, maybe he's greatly motivated. Otherwise, he might just be one with great looks and a marketable face, which reminds me of an ex-manure player who went blinging in Madrid.

This sort of player has been around at least since CM3 times. The LL player who on paper looks like a complete klutz, but plays his heart out week in week out. It's one of the reasons I always give every player in the squad every chance to prove himself when I take over a club.

Usually you will find he'll be good for a season before flaming out.

I usually ask my coaches about my players. If all of them say "that player is crap", I won't play him much. Might be that he comes in as a sub, gets MoM and thus keeps in the team until he drops out due to a bad game, but I use to listen to my staff. I mean, if I had any knowledge about football, I wouldn't be a manager in the lower leagues but somewhere else

...or asking me if I wanted to go and watch Rangers in Stuttgart.

You don't get sarcasm even when a brick is attached to it, thrown into your face, alkinear.

Asking a Celtic supporter to go and watch a Rangers game is just a thing you _have_ to do.

I have a striker, who at the start of the season was just a sub.

And even then, only because he was an *almost* promising youngster.

He came on three times and started two for an injured player, netting 5.

By the end of the season, he had kept up his goal a game ratio and chipped in with an assist every other game, fans player of the year.

Obviously, he is the first name on my teamsheet. We've had him out for 2 months this (second) season and been struggling to score.

I sitll can't see what stats make him score though, he's quite poor:p

But by that standard surely if your coaches knew more than you they wouldn't be coaching in the lower leagues, but managing/coaching at a higher level?

That's the reason why they constantly get poached by higher league teams, while no team would want to hire me

What age of players do you find ususaly do this?

No real age range as such as far as I have able to work out. They just appear. It's one of the main reasons why I never look too closely at players stats when I take over a club.

Performance on the field > anything else
