This sort of player has been around at least since CM3 times. The LL player who on paper looks like a complete klutz, but plays his heart out week in week out. It's one of the reasons I always give every player in the squad every chance to prove himself when I take over a club.

Usually you will find he'll be good for a season before flaming out.

Not always the case Taips. I remember a centre midfielder with rubbish looking stats I signed for Stoke in a pre Billericay et al game. I signed him as a 15 year old in the Second Division. He played 4 reserve games superbly, so I gave him his first team debut at 15, where he scored twice.
He went on to play for England whilst still at Stoke in the Premier League seven years later, still with rubbish looking stats. His average rating ranged from 7.5 to 8 every season and regularly scored 15+ goals.

has anyone got in there side a player whos stats are really quite bad but doing very well, average wise?

With Dublin i have a Center Mid, 22 years of age whos stats are quite ****e but keeping 'important first team players' along with players with far better stats out of the side due to his average rating of 8 .

he is worth a whopping 24k and i have recently notcied bohemions are intersted in him.

anyone else had a similar experence?

I've had a similar experience with a striker at Albion Rovers in Scotland. He kept on banging in those goals, despite having terrible stats, and he hardly improved.

His performances didn't seem to suffer as we moved up a division either.

I'm beginning to feel that stats doesn't seem as much important now. There are certainly some hidden stuff about players we do not know.

When I gave the example of my Albion Rovers player I was referring to CM 01/02.

I disagree with this. Sure, I would have agreed before CM4, but now with the 2D it is pretty obvious why a player does well or bad a posteriori.

2D rules!

No matter how many Ds you put after that, 36 means she's probably fat.
