After reading the guidelines etc I decided to start a LLM game. Chose a side near to where I live - Stevenage Borough. Got a couple of loaned players in (through the search screen) and bought a couple of scouted players.
Now I'm 23 games into my first season and am unbeaten in the league with a 15pt lead over 2nd place.

So, are Stevenage a bad side to choose or should I not be loaning players without scouting first? This is a new install with EP5. Am enjoying playing but its a little easier than playing with my beloved Leicester so far.

It's great to see people actually reading a couple of posts and guidelines first before they post here, so I'll give you a warm welcome to LLM.

There is no real restriction to signing players on loan, but several fellow members here (me included) like to scout them first too.

The answer to your question whether you chose a good side or a bad side is up to you. If you are enjoying the game, then it's the right decision. After all, the aim of the game is to have a good time playing it.

Thanks for the above. I will restrict my loaning next season. Although one of the players will still be available on the 2 div guideline and he is currently the highest scorer in the conference.

I may add some additional self imposed rules as well to make it more realistic.

I think that is the real beauty of LLM. Some come one here and read the LL guidelines as rules. They are not, and never have been. They are there to give some guidance of what is right/wrong. In the end some LLaMa's take the left fork, other the right, and yet others decide the best way is to go cross country and cut a path themselves. In the end it is up to the individual how he/she plays the game. Some areas are off limits (like editors), others areas(like transfer screen) is totally up to the individual.

Seeing as you've looked at the header I'll take all that as clear.

At the end of the day all the guys here play in there own individual way. choose what leagues to run, where to start, taking teams from the bottom to the top, jobbing their way to the top. It all comes down to playing as close to real life as you can manage.
