Does anyone know how lower league gate receipts are controlled and if they can change over the years? I'm managing in Serie C2 (CM 01/02) and in my third season it seems I'm getting less money per home gate than in the previous two years. I've had crowds of 6500, but the receipts from the game only come to a little over 10,000 pounds -- about 1.5 pounds per ticket. Is this figure comparable to the English Conference and other lower leagues?
There's a well documented "problem" with gate receipts in Serie C. I can't be bothered linking you to all the pages, but if you do a search in LLM using Gate Receipts as the keywords (use advanced) you'll get all the answers you need.
Hope this enlightens you (it's not a brush-off, btw )

Thanks for the help. I've checked suggested thread. What irked me is that this loss of revenue did not seem to be the case my first two seasons, and this year I had my best season tickets sale, giving hope that I wouldn't incur huges debts as in the past. Guess it's back to selling top-valued players.
I remember reading several threads about Serie C that described exactly the same as what's troubling you, but unfortunately they were lost at the time of the pre-2003 cull.
I was bugged about gate receipts in SFL (the ONLY LLM league to in!), until I realized that most of the people showing up were season ticket holders and I already got their wampum. Sure makes it hard to manage the wage bill though

SFL's the only true LLM League in CM, btw...are you an alias of me?

They were a great band...I took the name from a character from Slapshot! though, since I am an HR for the new EHM:FE I thought a hockey alias was appropriate!
As for Scotland, I got hooked after I watched "A Shot at Glory" is that the name? And then reading Andrew Downing's Elgin City epic in the CMStories forum. Now I do all my LLMing in Scotland. My eventual goal is to be a new firm. So far no joy, but its fun trying
What you've got to take into account is the time that Dr Hook were about, the humour in their music, and the way they took the pĂ*ss out themselves, and the music industry in general, rotten.
Many people are fooled by just listening to the overall sound of the music and assuming they're Country pap.
Dr. Hook:
I think your assessment was correct regarding gate receipts. I had a very big advance season tickets' sale, so I guess the gate receipts I now get are only for those who buy their tickets the day of the game.
