Default You LLMas, how far have you gone in years with your squad?

I've heard many people complining about the many bugs (retiring/regens) during long term.

I'm in my 3rd season ATM.

How far have you gone in years and which problems have you found?

Thanks.

I've not had one savegame that I couldn't recover after things start buggering up. I've had two games run for more than 50+ seasons, and my current two games are about 18 seasons in at the moment.

Never seen any regen problems, unless you count the fact a lot of regens come from the more obscure nations as the game gets 25-30 seasons old.

TBH I didn't go more than two seasons with CM4, and that after 26 seasons game on CM3 01/02.

CM4 didn't grab me, but let me just say that CM4 03/04 rocks! I can't fault it.

You will not need to worry about regens/retiring, etc for a while yet.....ffs you are only 3 seasons in.

I agre with you.
I've always loved to get best results with my starting team.
But maybe, stadium expansion is not a bug: I'm managing Pavia in the italian Serie C2A, and Pavia is a town, maybe, 5000 inhabitants, so I think this is right.

I am on season 3, right, but just because I purchased the game since some week.
My goal is going on for many years as in CM 01-02.

And why, please?
Because of some issue or because it doesn't engage you?

Ditto :elephant:

03/04 is a huge improvement on CM4. It's a joy to play a season, it's a must to play a career (That cheque's in the post, right? )

Get youselves 03/04 and use CM4 as a coaster

Some says that many old players never retire and many of the (fewer and fewer) regens have very poor stats, going on with years.

I've not seen any real evidence of that. There's plenty of quality players still coming through.

The other thing you'll find after 20 seasons or so is that the number of goals scored at the highest level (i.e. Premiership, Serie A, Champions League) will decrease signifigantly. I've seen clubs win the league, only scoring about 50 goals, and other clubs score about 15 and stay up. Apparantly something to do with the AI cracking all the tactics, but it doesn't affect things too much in the lower leagues.
