In my previous save I was sacked twice for this. I have found that it's easier to get better jobs when you are out of work though.

For me it varies. If I see I took the club the furthest I could and there's no room for progression, I'm jumping ship.

e.g.: Toulon (6 years, took them to L1) -> Standard (3 years, won league, resigned because chairman was an asshole) -> Excelsior (4 months, fired) -> Lierse (6 years) -> Schalke (1 year)

However, my all-time favourite save was with Akropolis IF. I spent all my carreer (22 or 23 years?) there and it was awesome.

In previous CM/FM versions I had often stayed at the same club for 20 odd years, but recently I keep jumping ship when the next opportunity arises.

I don't think I will be at the same club for many years again until Swindon Supermarine get promoted to the BSS (which is finally at least possible), when I will try to take them as far as possible

Also I agree with littlebeagle as it is so much easier to get jobs when out of work.

I tend to stay with a club as long as I can (Barnet back on 01/02, three saves with Billericay and currently with Bromsgrove on 08). Clan game is prooving to be the opposite, often the board is deciding I should no longer be at a particular club despite doing fairly well with them.

That's how I play as well. I should say that in my current save I've resigned for the very first time ever though (after 10 games in the 3rd season with U.B. Conquense). Not something I'll start doing more often now, just doesn't feel right.

Like some other poofs here I tend to stay at a club until the bitter end, only jumping ship on very rare occasions.

I'll stay with the team i start out with in each new game until i am either sacked, contract not renewed or rarely move if another higher team comes in for me. Dont get much of other teams after me so i'm there at the whims of my board for as long as they can suffer me.
