FM2008 Is the first game in the FM series that i've bought, I used to play CM96/97 back in the day, then I played CM01/02, and I just wondered if more people then not actually thought that this patch has made the game worse!

If I remember correctly there was a couple of patches with CM4 that made the game worse for various reasons.

I prefer the patched version - there was a problem with defenders closing players down on the unpatched version, this has now been fixed. 8.0.1 is by no means perfect, and I don't expect 8.0.2 to be either, but it's a very good game now. :thup:

No, 800 had some glaring defensive issues, and although 801 is not perfect it's certainly no worse than the initial patch for FM05, '06, or '07.

If you overlook the fact having a freekick inside 40 yards or a corner seemed better than being awarded a penalty, I thought the first beta was the best match engine.
