Where the offside-standing players involved in the game?
The offside rule states that a player should not be reprimanded if he does not gain an advantage by standing in an offside position.

There were two players directly infront of goal and in an off-side position. They were clearly gaining an advantage in that the GK had to consider the possibility of the ball being crossed to them as well as the fact the #10 might shoot directly at goal. They are in the "active zone".
Very poor that the game allowed the goal to stand and didn't flag it up as a controversial incident in the commentary or post-match reaction.

The worst offside I've seen was when my keeper launched it it took one bounce over the keeper and in (first and only time I've EVER seen it) only for it to be ruled out cos my striker was given offside even though he was ten yards inside the opposition half when it was kicked and although he was chasing the keepers punt, didn't get anywhere near it...how the hell is he interefering if the ball sails 20 foot over his head and bounces 30 yards in front of him before going in?!
