Can someone just clarify the rule to me on how many loan players you can have for an English club in a season for an English club.

I had 4 players early on in the season under the age of 23 on a loan for 3 months and I have 2 players under the age of 23 on loan for the season. Can I have any more loan players?

You can have 4 players under 23 on long term loans. Then you can have I think as many as you want on 3 month loans. Trouble is you can't renew or extend their loans after the 3 months as the rule states that players under 23 can only go on short term loan at a club for a maximum of 3 months.

And you can only have at most 5 loan players in your match day squad.

im not sure but I think it is 4 long term and 8 short term. It should tell you how many when you make a loan offer for a player

Ooops, I don't know what happenend there.

All I know is that I couldn't extend the loans for the 4 players I had earlier in the season and it says that I'd reached my maximum of 4 at the first line at the bottom of the screen when trying to sign.

Maybe I can loan some different players till the end of the season in addition to the two I have loaned for the entire season. I'll just have to give it a go.

If everything you say above is true then you should be able to get 2 more players on long term loans and 4 more players on short term loans. However, you won't be able to get any players you've already had on a short term loan that season, it will have to be 4 new players.
