How is the Rich List defined? I have a £32m bank balance (£15m Transfer budget) but I am 52nd in the righ list with £40.5m it says. Am i missing somthing here? Where does it get the amount from?

I think it takes into account all assets; players, staff, stadium, training facilities etc. Though if I'm honest, I always find it completely baffling, the figures never seem to add up to me.

It's based on alot of factors. You bank balance has nothing to do with it. It;s affected by things like stadium and reputastion. I'm not 100% sure of every thing that affects it though.

I seem to rise and fall up to 20 places each year for no clear reason

After the board built me a new stadium, the value of my more than doubled, even though they took a £140million loan.

It looked something like

Estimated value £250m (£140m debt)

from £85m

I don't really understand this either. Surely it should equal total assets minus debts? So assets would include things like:

Stadium
Training Facilities
Players
Brand
Bank balance

And debts would equal whatever's owed to the chairman or whoever plus (maybe) the cost of buying out all your players contracts?

Either way the club values seem to me to be strongly related to reputation and don't really have much to do with the state of the clubs finances.
