Has anyone had a player of a nationality play for a national team of ANOTHER nationality ?

I havent experienced this in my game yet but considering they added the citizenship thing in i would have thought players would play for their new countrys ?

Anyone experienced this ?

i'm managing the czechs in 2010/11 and was unable to call up a promising (uncapped at u-21 level) AMC for the world cup 2010 because he had opted for Sweden instead. he was still uncapped, but they called him up first.

Dinamo Kiev have quite a few brazilians who usually end up playing for ukraine. Once Kleber, Diego Rincon, Correa and Kleber all ended up being ukraine regulars.

It looks like Delle Valle will be playing for the Italians in my game as he is getting regular call ups to their U19s, he just needs that U21 call up...

and Manuel Almunia play for england hes a lot better than robinson
also pennant for scotland

I was managing the USA on 07 and capped quite a fair few Irish and Mexican players with American as their second nationality though I can't quite remember who.

Of course their first nationality would show up as the same even though they had caps for another one. Confusing!

I sent five players on loan to a Polish feeder club and they were all Polish internationals. Two were Chinese, one Brazilian and an American.

I had a striker play his U-21s with Senegal, get called up to the Swiss squad for a world cup, get injured in training, and play for Senegal again that winter.
