Look at the commentary first during the incident and if it asks
"do the penalised team have a case there?" then you should complain about the ref from your mail inbox . If it just says the likes "referee waves away the protests" then you'll get a touchline ban of the league.
However, Watching a game I needed to win last night I had a goal scored against that was at least three yards offside from a boot upfield. I just complained on the first evidence and the league remained silent as it was so bad a decision. all this helps you in your manager profile and improves your standing with your players if you get it right.
But it's not a good idea. The only time you get away with it is if the off-side is blatently obvious (or not). I followed someone's advice on here and started agreeing with the ref every time - I THINK I have seen a genuine increase in the number of penalties awarded me, and a decrease in those against. If you get it wrong your player is only disgruntled until the next match so it's worth the gamble. Not sure if it is ACTUALLY working that way, but it seems to be.
