doing pretty well in the BSP, secure finances, value is going up and up after another season of over-achievement (in the media's eyes anyway) and i would like to tie my players down onto full time contracts. ok so the training facilities arent the best, and the youth system is a joke, but i feel they could do with more time training and less doin whatever they do. it can only be a good thing seeing as one of my dc's has had food poisoning three times this season so far, and its only December!
what i want to know is -> are there any real drawbacks to getting players onto full-time contracts for the club? i've noticed a fair few dont want to sign them, including some of my staff, but some are willing to... should i get as many as i can onto them? should i keep them part time? will it impact my finances severely?
and are there any benefits to it, apart from training more?
As you say, going full time will benefit on the training pitch but may hamper you else where.
If you can get anyone onto a full time contract whilst maintaining the same wage as the part time deal then that's the best solution. I'd try to get anyone you can onto a full time contract, it makes things much easier later on. If not keep them happy on a part time deal, and try at the end of the season to upgrade their contract, they might of had a change of heart.

Not really, except for the possible financial implications.
cheers guys! luckily most of them are asking for the same wages, and im pretty well under budget, so its lookin ok from that aspect. those who are asking for a raise arent goin overboard, and, generally speaking, actually deserve one...
Full-time contracts are much more beneficial and if you can switch without causing too many financial problems then you'd be silly not to. It's the best way you're going to rise through the leagues.

Just be careful with bonuses. in LLM i tend to reduce or even refuse to give Appearance fees.
Something i have found with it is this..
Player wants..
£1000 per week, + £300 appearance fee.
I'll offer
£1100 per week with no appearance fee.
more often than not the player will accept.
I also refuse yearly wage rises, and lower goal bonuses for strikers. Its quite amazing how much money that saves me over the year.
