Could anybody tell me how I could make kits to use in the game? Is it a programme who only highprofiled people could use, or is it a public thing?

First of all, you need Photoshop, which is very costly. Secondly, you'll need a guide which can be found on Sortitoutsi's forums (which is down right now).

You can use The GIMP (free open source imaging program) or download trials for Paint Shop Pro or Macromedia Fireworks, you may also be able to download a trial version of Photoshop, or check out download.com for some free programs.
Though you wont find any guides or templates for these programs (I think there may be a guide for making kits in The GIMP somewhere - but think its english).
