I'm not even sure if that's possible. I've looked in the code and not found anything for setting an outline colour

Can you not change the white to slightly 'off white' (maybe a lkight shade of grey or cream)? That way, it will be more visible with a white background (Real Madrid), still look white with teams with no white in their colours, but less likely to clash with any other teams, as most football team colours are 'standard' colours. Does that make sense? (I does in my head)

Those are options i have explored and at this rate, its what i will have to do.

Greys i have tried and they look OK but not great. A cream is intersting, I'll see what that looks like actually.

A couple more ideas:

It may sound obvious, but have you tried colours that are not part of any team colours, or are used by only a couple of teams? (I cant think of any off the top of my head, I know something like purple is use by only a few teams).

Another option is to make the colour a definate 'highlight colour' I havent tried any skinning myself, but I have looked at tweaking certain things like fonts, colours of text and font sizes. I put the highlight text colour onto 100% green, and 0% all other colours. It ended up looking like a green 'highlighter' colour, which didnt look as bad as I thought it might.

I have a third idea, but dont know if its possible. If you can select the wrap around part of the screen to match the team colours, can you set the text part to show the inverse, or negative of the team colours. It might produce some nasty colours (The negative of Wolves Gold may look nasty), but would solve the problem.
