I'm downloading a background package right now. Does anyone know in which folder I have to put the backgrounds?

in the backgronuds folder in your skin folder.

incidently, what site are you downloading from seeing as sortitoutsi is down?

If it is the DJ de Marco Backpack v2, there is a readme.txt file that will explain exactly what to do.
