SI's 6.0.3 data update gave Spurs managers a bit of a raw deal in this game due to the lack of a Researcher for Tottenham Hotspur.
Most other Premiership Clubs got updated attributes for many of their players but sadly Spurs missed out.
Higgerz update over on FM Sorted does the Spurs stuff really well on his update but misses out on a load of other stuff on the official one.
I decided to download the official 6.0.3 update & then add the Spurs changes using the in game editor. Once you get the hang of it the editor is not difficult really.
Here's a full list of the changes I made. They're not all positive changes as I feel that some of the playing staff are overated in the game, but I do feel it's much more realistic.
Staff
Firstly for some strange reason Chris Hughton is not installed as the Assistant Manager so this was the 1st fix. I didn't change any of his attributes & many of them are actually randomly generated so he'll vary in ability a bit.
Ricardo Moniz (Spurs's highly rated new skills coach) was also not in the game so he's now included & is a 5 star coach in Ball skills & Set pieces that befits his high reputation IRL.
Transfer funds
7M was received by selling Pamarot, Davis & Mendes to Portsmouth & Murphy only cost the same as the club recieved selling Brown.
Yet I was surprised to see only 6M in the kitty for transfers.
So I've gone the same as Higginz's update so currently has the club with £31.7m in the bank but I've made £9.6m available for transfers which I think is probably about right.
Also the club will correctly recieve 2M for the transfer of Rasiak to Southampton at the end of the season & not 3M according to the 6.0.3 update.
The club have stated that 2M is the figure although even this much is clearly daylight robbery.
Player Changes
Mido is the player most changed on my update. I've basically copied what Higgerz has done on his.
He did have a 0 for Penalties, Vision, Anticipation and Concentration which means these will be randomly generated & sometimes will be shockingly low. I've set those at 13, 12, 15 and 14 respectively. Bearing in mind that he is still only 22 in the game and under the right coaching will improve greatly I've raised his PA considerably & his CA a bit.
Carrick is another player that many feel is underated on the game.
I've upped his Passing, Anticipation and Technique all by 1. I've also upped his Composure and Concentration slightly and lowered his Inj. Proneness as he has rarely been injured since being with us. Also added 2 PPM's - Likes Ball Played To Feet and Dictates Tempo.
I've upped his set pieces a bit too but not too much as he hasn't been that great at them this season.
His CA is increased a little, he doesn't start the game in the stiffs & his PA is now quite a bit higher.
Tainio is another player I feel is underated.
Firstly he has to have a decent rating as an AMC as he's played in this position quite a few times for us.
Also he's not a bad header of the ball for his size so that's also been increased along with his aggression, marking & a couple of other attributes.
Reid is probably the most overated player in the Spurs squad & in my tactics test was consistantly the best performer in a variety of different tactics!?.
I've lowered his Crossing, Dribbling, Pace, Acceleration & long shots (although this attribute is still high but not world class as it was previously. His PA has been lowered just a bit but he should still be a decent squad player.
Gardner is another that's amazingly good in the game compared with real life.
Anthony Gardner's Concentration was 10, I've dropped it to 9. His Decisions was at 11, and I've dropped that to 10. Also, one stat that stood out to me was Composure at 15, I've lowered that to 12. He also had a good rating at DL which I've changed because whenever he's played there for Spurs in that position he stank worse than usual.
Ziegler now has a pretty good rating at ML & an awkward rating at MC which I feel may become his best position IRL. I haven't changed anything else for him.
Jenas' finishing is 9 right now, I've upped it to 10. His Free Kicks were also 9, I've upped that to 13.
Another that's overated is Kelly. I've lowered his Tackling, Marking, anticipation, 1st touch & decisions & his PA is reduced just a tad but he'll still be decent.
Ifill now has a slightly higher PA & in the future will become better than Kelly as nay expect him to IRL.
Ghaly now has a rating for DC (if poor) & I've upped his passing which is reported to be very good, his PA is also a bit higher.
Bunjecevic now has a rating for DL where he frequently plays IRL for the stiffs.
Jacksons technical stats have been reduced just a little.
Barcham's pace & Acceleration has been increased as I've heard reports that he's quite quick although in general he still wont ever be good enough for top Premiership standard.
I've upped a couple of Defendi's stats too as he's getting starts for Udinese at present so he cant be that bad. He's a -8 potential player though & it'll be down to luck as to whether he's good in your game or not.
Emil Halfreddson starts the game on loan at Malmo.
That's about it, the rest of the data is untouched from the 6.0.3. There may be a couple of other minor things I've forgotten but most of the changes are pretty subtle anyway.
7M was received by selling Pamarot, Davis & Mendes to Portsmouth & Murphy only cost the same as the club recieved selling Brown.

So I've gone the same as Higginz's update so currently has the club with £31.7m in the bank but I've made £9.6m available for transfers which I think is probably about right.
You do know how the real life transfer system works don't you. You recieve COMPENSATION in the form of a transfer fee. This compensation is used to pay off the contract of the player (yes thats why players leave a lot, they get paid the rest of their contract & get a new one at another club). After that, very little is left.
So why would Spurs have that much in the bank.
PS. I think SI should model the correct transfer system in game, but sadly, it doesn't.

You may be right in terms of how the transfer system works in real life but my intention was to be accurate in terms of this game which as you rightly point out doesn't model the correct transfer system.
Bearing in mind that Spurs are the 13th richest club in the world according to figures published a week or so ago I dont think this figure of how much is in the bank is unrealistic.
Schalke (who are 1 place below Spurs in the list) have 34,5M pounds in the bank & a transfer budget of 5,2 in the game & taking this into account I've lowered the amount available for transfers a bit for Vs2 to 8.7N.
 13th richist club in the world, I guess thats in income, whats their outcome like though lol. Odd though, Spurs have generally been a middle table side (this season appear to be battling for CL slot). Does surprise me.
Ricardo Moniz (Spurs's highly rated new skills coach) was also not in the game so he's now included & is a 5 star coach in Ball skills & Set pieces that befits his high reputation IRL.
I've started many new games to test the update & for some reason occasionally (about 1 in 10) Moniz doesn't get the rating for technique he should.
So my advice is when starting a new game check Moniz out & if his technique coaching is low quit & start a game again.
This anomaly sometimes occurs with the FM Sorted update as well & I thought I'd fixed it by assigning more of Moniz's uneeded attributes at 1 because 0's means that the game will give a random figure.
