It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Arsenal are unstoppable in my game too. They have 6 players who are all match winners.

I normally, have my wingers man mark their opposite numbers and play a holding midfielder in the midfield (sometimes it's just a barrow with defensive settings, sometimes I'll move him into the DMC position.). I play a deep defensive line and have Fabregas on hard marking and closing down all the time.

Doesn't always work, but I've had some screaming matches with them but they are unstoppable really.

Does anyone know how to beat Arsenal or does anyone has got a good tactic to beat Arsenal?
With Man U? I find that playing eleven men in the correct positions does the trick.

Failing that, use the Man United "V-formation" (flat back four, DM, two MC, wingers angled in and one striker) with medium width and tempo. It's almost impossible to lose against a 4-4-2 playing that formation with Manchester United - I'm on a run of 43 Premier matches unbeaten with it, and still rising.

Arsenal is the only team in the Premiership that I change my formation for. I switch from the the 4132 that I have played for...I don't know how many years to a traditional 442. I MAN MARK Fabregas! Put your MC/DMC with the best marking rating on him (hopefully he also has high tackling). Set this player to defensive mentality and low forward runs, low run with ball...etc. Taking Fabregas out is the key. I set the man marker to normal tackling and then on the opposition instructions set tackling on Fabregas to hard. Make his day miserable. Mark him tight with the marker too...you want to try to deny him the ball as much as possible. I play with my DCs on barrows which helps to keep Henry et al from getting in behing my back line. The only real problems I've had is when Arsenal have played 433 with Henry as AML...he has cut me to shreds playing on the wing. I haven't come up with an answer for that one...thankfully they haven't gone with that tactic very often. Walcot also just destroyed me once...but I've won far more then I've lost.

i use 4-3-3 possession tactic with creative wingers(i created it myself throu many months of experimemting, had 2 tweak it 2 play effective in 2007,which took me another month or so),n i'm yet 2 lose against arsenal/liverpool & man-u...i find man-u the most difficult ones 2 play against especially at their ground n i don't enjoy games against them(coz rooney is pretty much always given free-role),always come out with a really narrow win.with arsenal if u manage 2 retain possession n give them less time on the ball, they aren't difficult 2 beat...2 achieve this u need close-down their midfield,n man-mark their strikers....with good defenders & midfielders it shouldn't be a problem, always in-keep with in-game tactical changes n be ready 2 conter n expose holes

i can never beat arsenal!!!!

They just seem to create a ridiculous number of chances against me. So far in my season i am top of the league (with man utd) and my defense has been fairly solid but against arsenal in the league away it was 5-4 to them! and in the league cup 3-2 to them. but in the league cup they created 26 shots on goal! I don't know how how they can do it because no other teams can! in both games i have taken the lead but as soon as i score they unleash a barrack of shots towards me as if it is the 90th minute!

Ive tried everything to stop them but i guess arsenal are just a major bogey team that i face.
