A tactic that works for me in FM2007! Finally!

I love this tactic!!!

I've also been struggling to find a tactic that works for me but tried this and I'm now having some really great results, lots of wins and lots of goals. I also changed the defenders mentality to defensive, the keepers to normal and changed the full backs forward runs to mixed. This tactic really works for me, definitely the best I have tried so far on FM2007, and I think I must have tried them all! Cheers Kman, I'd almost given up on the game.

Glad to see that some have tested it. But bare in mind it's not a miracle tactic, it won't make you win every game, but it's the one that have worked best for me(with Leeds). It surely can be made better, so try to tweak it.

Have played six fixtures with your adjustments. Seems good. Beat Monaco away with 3-0, York 7-0, Frankfurt 4-1 etc...Seems to improve the defense but still maintaining the offense. :thup:

Ironically enough my first game was against Leeds (with my Liverpool team experiencing masive injuries) using your tweaked tactic, where I was a litte more conservative in the back. 1-0 down after 19 seconds - ghastly start. 1-1 after 8 minutes thanks to Crouch - 2-1 up after 12 - Riise. My second half performances have been dire thus far, but Crouch made it 3-1 on 49 minutes. 3-2 (72 minutes). 3-3 (79 minutes). Dramatic winner - Gerrard - 93rd minute. I gotta say you score and create more goals, but I need to tighten up at the back.

It'll be interesting to see what happens against a better team.

As I mentioned earlier I took over Arsenal and played against Man U (H2-0), Chelsea(A1-0) and Liverpool(H2-1) and beat them all. But that was with the "untweaked" version. Now I've started from scratch with Leeds and will see how it goes. Finished 5:th in championship, but lost in extra time in the final round. Was on top of the table after 25 games, but them I got massive injury problems and lots of red cards/suspensions.

That was with the untweaked verion by the way. ...

Currently using this tactic with West Brom in the Championship (with Defence modified slightly so I don't get caught with my pants down). 4 games in and its looking good - 2 away draws against difficult opponents and 2 wins which were complete spankings. I will monitor how it goes but thumbs up for now :thup:

this tactic is giving me too much excitement and scares!

I am Man U and I used the tactic without changing anything. I first played Levski Sofia (CL) and would only expect to win 3-0 with normal strategy.. but got a 6-0 with this tactic...

Then I played Reading in Premiership, it was 5-3 ONLY in the first half! then it ended 5-4.

i love watching like 9 players of my team cramming into the opponent's box. and this tactic sure brings a lot of excitement...
