Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default crossing to little guys

any advice on whats best instruction on crossing to little guys...i play with spurs and play defoe upfront with lennon/malbranque and silva either side...i play 41224:- flat 4, 1 dmc 2 mc, 2 am on wing and 1 forward...i prefer defoe over a bigger guy for his pace and dribbling when latching onto through balls...the problem comes when crossing into the box and only having little guys in there...i have crosses on often with both wingers and fb's set to mixed aim and mixed cross from. theres always the odd one connecting but once in a blue moon...i looked for a 'height on crosses' option to supply lower crosses but havent found one. any ways of somehow creating this...would crosses from byline supply lower crosses? is there somewhere to aim the cross which might give my little guy more chance? are there any instructions i can give my attacking player to help my cause? thanks

Cross to far post so you have a chance of the winger jumping against the (shorter) full-back.

ok...i thought crossing to the near post would result in lower crosses...does the byline result in more accuracy or is it best to create quantity more than quality? is there no option on height of crosses?

Byline is more accurate so is advisable at home, mixed is better away. There is no option on height of cross. I only advised cross to back post because I score a lot of goals with my tallish left-wingr through doing that.
