I like my wingers to be very fast.
| Aerobic training increases injuries.

Cleon, I'm having a few problems, ALL my players aerial ability went down after a few games of a new season. Is this normal?

Stats always go down just as you started a season for first month or so.

| Hi Cleon,
I posted this in another thread, but it seemed to get lost in the shuffle... So here goes...
Cleon, I seem to have this issue at the beginnings of seasons...
Everybody comes back for pre-season, alll green arrows and doing well...
A month or two into the season, every attribute seems to go down a point or two. Granted, after usig FM Genie to check CA/PA, most of the are close to their PA.
My main question though is why do attributes drop even though these players have not been injured, not been played while unfit, consistently rotated squad, 5 star coaches, and the best training facilities.
Your (and any other knowledgable person's) perspectives would be highly appreciated...
Cheers.

my advice:
if you are going to change your training schedule i sugest that you change it at the end of the season, when players are on holiday, that way they dont need to get used to schedules,
actualy this schedules starting to doo wonders for my team becouse they have more time to develop rather that come back from injuries. on the other hand even if they haveing attribute drop it is better this way becouse they will drop less then they would when they are injured and will also train instead lie in bed.
one more thing with these mid schelules is that player will be fresh for the games rather than beeing tired from training...
good job Cleon.

Ignore the arrows, too many people make the mistake and judge a schedule on them alone. The only reason you have gree arrows at beginning of season is because noone as been training, so no matter what they still get green arrows first few weeks due to not training.
Then it takes a couple of month to get back into the swings of things, by the 2nd month players should be peaking again and stats should improve. If this isn't the case then its a schedule problem or players have reached their full PA.

| I hear you on the arrows, and have learned not to expect a steady stream of green arrows.
My question though is more about looking at the attributes themselves. They go up to the highest level at the beginning of the season because as you said, they have had no training for the whole summer, then every attribute drops by one point and stays like that till like February when it comes up to the Pre-Season level again.
One of the major guys I look at is my Sweeper, Cristian Alvarez. His Pace normally is 14, after I sorted out training using tips gained here, his pace went up to 15. Thing is, this fluctuates anywhere from 13 to 15 depending on how many games he plays.
Oddly enough, I find that a players attributes tend to increase markedly for a time when I don't play them at all, then it goes down when they are "severely lacking in match fitness"
Interesting.

i can't understand you not wanting to upload the training as it helps people understand training a little better if they have to set it up,but i'm a lazy bugger and a nice file would be great |

Then your schedules are not right for your players. If they where, you would be able to maintain the stats. It could be tactic related, and thats why they improve when you dont play them. It could be too strenous for your training you use. Quote: |

| You are one of the reasons I don't put anything for download. I hate lazy people. Get off ya arse and do them yourself.
