Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Converting from CM 01/02 to FM 2007.

Not been around these forums for years as my username will show.

Having purchased Football Manager 2007 on monday, finally letting Championship Manger 01/02 go. I've found it frustrating to adjust to in the two clubs I've attempted to manage.

This may be down to the different aspects of the game, for example the importance of a good pre-season. Or down to me going after awfully rated players who I've seen myself and know would add to a League Two squad (Rochdale.)

So to make things slightly easier, having read threads on tactics, training, players and so forth. I've decided to go for Tottenham as the next club, to give me more financial freedom as I try and learn the game from scratch again.

Being a "noob" could anyone introduce, or more bluntly, spoonfeed me an introduction into what I have to forget CM tactic wise and the major parts of FM I need to understand.

Apologies now, if this post makes no sense whatsoever (cheesey smiley thingy.)

Will do!

What about gameplay wise, what is there new that I really should get my head round?

BTW, The training schedule makes alot of sense, just hope it will have same effect on the game.

Still fuming over my weekend's football being postponed. Bloody tinpot Shrewsbury Town FC!
