So far after 10 games in the league I am lying 5th....which isn't to bad but I feel it could be a little better.
The team is far too inconsistent...and despite having heard off you guys that Inacio Pia has been great...he has epitomised inconsistencey for me!! He scored good goals but he always misses the easier chances, and his composure rating is quite low...probably the reason.
I got knocked out of the cup in the 3rd roun in the third round by albinoleffe...but then started the league well...then things went a little wrong
I only made a couple of signings - Kevin Larsen, Didier Digard and Julio Rossi (on loan)..because the team is quite strong.
The gems so far in have been De Zerbi, Bogliacino and Bucchi...but I feel that they need stronger full backs...especially in place of Garics.
Suggestions appreciated??....

had a fantastic time with Napoli on FM06 so decided to give them a go, love the passion of the fans! irl and in the game they average a higher crowd than most serie A teams I believe, although that might be partly down to the magnificent stadium
anyway, going to try and return them to the glory days of Diego Maradona, but it aint gonna be easy to overcome the likes of Inter, Milan, etc. but the first challenge is the Serie B
didnt think that too many changes were needed in the initial squad. put some players on the transfer list, including Gianello, Montervino, Trotta, Gatti, and Bogliacino. have already sold a couple.
transfers in have been
Didier Digard (250k) - brought in to play the holding role, looks like he could develop into a very good player indeed
Dusan Svento (300k) - pacy left winger to replace the outgoing Bogliacino
Tore Reginiussen (500k) - will form the backbone of my defense, looks another good prospect
Jose Sosa (400k) - the big one, almost has a few shades of Maradona about him. was also the high profile signing my chairman wanted. had to offer him 10k a week to beat off competition from a number of La Liga clubs. he's going to play in the hole behind the front two
also a few youth players in Rene Mihelic, Carlos Saez and Lucas Trecarichi (who looks a really bright prospect)
finally, got Christoph Lamprecht on loan to play right fullback since I dont rate Garics, and Tim Krul on loan to be backup to Iezzo
also signed up a bunch of coaches, have at least 4 star in every training department now
lastly, one tip, I ligned up about 8 home friendlies against the big Serie A sides (Milan Inter Fiorentina Palermo Udinese Lazio etc) paying them 50-100k each to play me and made about 2-3 million pounds in the process. doesnt sound much but it doubled my bank balance!
lookign forward to my first competitive game

After taking Napoli from Serie B to A and 4th then 2nd place and into Champions League twice. Next season started poorly but in Jan trasfer window managed to sign a big name - Higuain. Improved from 12th to 4th by April. Suddenly - FIRED. Can't believe it. About to be in Champions League for 3rd season in a row. Have tons of players coming in on free transfers. Oh well. So I have not taken over Parma after two weeks out of a job. They are 13th in Serie B. Should be fun - all over again.

Started as Napoli. I wanted a game that I can really get stuck into for a while, and I figured that Napoli would do just fine.
I looked at the squad and figured we needed some strength in depth, and some quality in key positions.
Tranfers in:
Salvatore Fresi - 30k, and is truly exceptional
Salvatore Aurelio - my current favourite player on FM, I sign him every game, no matter what. plays AMRLC,FC, natural on both wings and becomes a legendary player. Brought in on loan from Lucchese for 400k, option to buy for 50k
A Norweigan RB who is terrible, will sell him ASAP, cost me 500k.
Ben Arfa, Marchisio - loan
I started terribly, losing three games and drawing 3, until a match against Bari, where we went 2-0 down before Roberto Zerbi scored a brace and set up Calaio's winner. Now, I'm on a 5 match unbeaten run, 4th in the table and only 2 points clear of Juve (who are unstoppable).
I desparately want a new GK, but with no money, I might have to wait.
Will post end of season update soon...
