Only just found this thread and thought I may as well post up my progress . Basically all has gone way beyond belief, and a very successful second season helped attract some very good players to help us consolidate our position. I haven't really spent much other than in the third season...and even then only what I've earnt (not many people want to buy Napoli players lol).

Season 2 Table
Season 3 Transfers...ouch

Oh...and the highlight of our season (so far - playing as I write) - having gone through:

Marseille
Middlesbrough
Besiktas
Villareal
Werder Bremen
Lazio
Happiness

...and a nice little news item

Nothing is impossible on FM it seems

just started a new game with Napoli and was wondering why i'm not allowed any non-EU players. is that for the whole of Italy? Just Serie B? i missed out on Eddie Johnson and Denilson, argh

Can't remember Serie B but I know for Serie A you're only allowed 1 a season - very annoying. You shouldn't really need anyone else at the moment, Bucchi and Calaio should be tearing up Serie B.

Update - Currently mid way through season 3 - top by 6 points from Inter and Milan.

Knocked out in group stage of Champions League -had a tough draw and lost on goal diff.

Mihelic is wonderful, Costil in Goal playing very well. Golanski and Cannavaro playing incredible. Esparza has really come on and I get a lot of bids from the "big clubs". Larsen and De zerbi play consistently well. Hopefully Bucchi will stay fit. Have some excellent players coming in at the end of season. Jo and Luizao being the best.

My other saves on FM have gone a bit stale...so decided to get another Napoli game going...

Looking forward to getting them back to the old glory days.....

"softspit"? I mean soft spot!

Good preseason after being thunped 0-5 by Le Mans in game 1 winning most of the games and then winning my first 3 competitive italian cup games 3-1 2-0 & 5-2. I've dumped my youth team and most of my reserves on frees or transfered out. players in:

Kevin Larsen DAML
mika aarilato AMFLC(brilliant young finnish striker)
Jan Polak DC
piotr czaplinski GK
ruben yttergard jensen AMLC
valerio zappa AMFL
Denis Boskailo DRC
Lauri Dalla Valle AMFC (very promising 14 year old Finn)
