mate if i were you i'd start again.

sell all high profile players, then buy didier digard, eddie johnson, vincent enyeama, alexey yeremenko, roberto holsen, james fowler, agustin delgado, danny szteleza, vilakazi, diego gavilan... (to name a few good players for championship)

and you have to KEEP johnny evans (he's immense).

as far as your tactics, i always play 4-1-3-2 and it can work.
make sure you play wide and push up, short passing for every player apart from mixed for your cb's and dm. use a fast target man with run on to ball...
